Farewell Dinner - Updates

(This is a back dated post). Just wish to jot down how we celebrated our last farewell dinner on 20 Nov 2009 at Royal Bintang, Seremban.

Before that, let me share with you some preparation hiccups we were facing that night. I don't put high hope on the arrangement and food that the hotel is going to provide. This was through my observation and 'female sense' especially after the discussion we had with the hotel resp few days ago. We have prepared for the worst scenario and ever ready to make complaint either on that night or after the dinner. True enough, we were so disappointed and upset with final arrangement and excuses they gave for not able to provide what they have promised earlier.

The so called Marketing Manager, is the worst Manager that I've ever met. Not decisive, no power, can't give solid reason, tried to turn his promises the other way round.

It's already 2pm and we were still struggling and urging with him to get a proper stage that he promised as we will not sacrifice our self with just a 5 inches platform for the night performance. Not only that, off colour and cheap quality of table cloth has been set up for the tables? Oh no, must do something, must do something. Finally we called the Senior Marketing Manager and put in a big complaint about the poor arrangement.

The Senior Manager came in our function room after an hour later and instructed his crews to do this, change that, replace all the table cloth, etc.... Wow, like those HK movie "big brother" giving instruction to get things done in just an eye clip. Applause to him. Phiew! Finally we get what we want.

Dinner started in time. After we have past events photos presentation, MD made a good news announcement to all of us. Dinner being served after that. Overall the buffet spread was not bad. We organized 2 games in total, "Search the Newspaper" and "Bollywood Dancer". It's was so much of fun on that night.

Besides having lucky dips for all the employees, we also brought to them a contest named, Hamper's Value Guessing. Nizam, our production supervisor won the prize with the closer value guessed.

Yeah! I got a Kenwood thermos + RM100 JJ voucher from my lucky dip. A Timex watch as an appreciation token to all employee.
