X'mas Party

I nearly got a heart attack when Audrey told me that her school is organizing X'mas party on the night before the party. "No present, how?" I asked her. She told me to wrap anything available outside (the bedroom). "Cannot, gal", then she asked me to stop at any shop to buy present on my way home tomorrow. Finally I sneak off after lunch to Tesco to buy a present and wrapped it in my office.

In the evening, it was heavy rain out there when I picked them from baby sitter. She insisted of going to the party as I told her we might cancel the plan if the rain never stop. Just to tease her.

See how happy was my gal to mingle around her friends. Mei Mei joined them too.

She was so happy to get a gift. Can't wait to open it and see what's inside.

It's story books, how nice! But......

We noticed the story books were old with folder mark on the edge. Worst is one of the book was being tore off (my head shaking while looking at it). Obviously Audrey has received some used story book as her x'mas present that she was looking forward the whole night. Audrey asked me why the spoilt book was given as her x'mas present?

I'm speechless.... beside having this *#%$&* feeling, from my heart I have something to say to the parents out there who prepared this gift. Hey, please be more considerate and sincere in preparing x'mas gift to the kids as we didn't ask for something expensive, 2 new pencils will keep my gal happy the whole night ........

However Audrey still want me to read her that story books before going to bed. I made a promise to her that I'll buy her new story book in our next shopping.

Wedding Gift To Guest

Do you notice that nowadays there are trend on giving away small gift from wedding host to their guests as a token of appreciation during wedding dinner? The gifts are usually being pre-placed on the table for each guest. I personally like the idea so much. Too bad that we didn't organize anything for our guest during our wedding dinner :( emm... I think only a small choc bar from the restaurant on that night, :P

So now whenever attending wedding dinner, I'm looking forward to bring back something nice (wow.... sounds bad and greedy hor) and to keep it nicely in my drawer. I even unwrap it so that it will always in its perfect condition.

From left : Spoon with ribbon and thank you note from hubby's colleague. Half egg shape of candles in a small box from my ex-colleague (Cecilia). I've been keeping this for 4 years.

From left : Mum gave these 2 nice saucers to me. She got it from my cousin brother's wedding dinner in S'pore. I like these so much! Isn't it cute? Another unique wedding gift from a friend (TC & Mevis).

Another Surprise Gift?

Audrey got another surprise gift from my colleague's hubby, uncle Steve. She was so happy holding the tigers and telling me that she wants the yellow/black stripes tiger while orange/brown stripes tiger is for mei mei. She always has the priority to be the first one to choose for anything, simply because mei mei still small and not so choosy. I asked her whether she wants to call uncle Steve and says thank you, she answered me 'no'. Forcing her to call someone she is not close to might be quite difficult as she will end up keeping silent on the phone. Ok, let's mummy helps you to say 'THANK YOU' by posting this on the blog (Uncle Steve, hope you will read this here one day).

P/S : Audrey's was holding the tiger and sleep soundly yesterday night.
